Checking the Fitment of the LS1
We used ICT’s motor mounts and a nice thing about them was that you could move the motor front or back to get the fitment just right. With the original oil pan on the LS one it wasn’t clearing the crossmember so we went with the Holly 302–2 oil pan. This gave us the clearance we needed. We had to massage a few spots in the transmission tunnel to get the transmission to clear. With the oil pan and the transmission tunnel massaged it fit like a glove.

why we chose to do a ls swap for the 1968 chevy chevelle
I had my 1968 Chevelle since 2017 and from then till now it had its original 307 motor with around 58k original miles. The 307 was built with an aggressive cam, headers, dual exhaust, performance heads, and intake. The motor was pretty peppy but with it being carbureted it would be finicky at times. For example, when I would try to turn the vehicle on after not driving it for 5 days it would have a rough start and would take a minute to warm up. Sometimes it would run too
